September Media Post
Another month has passed!
Anime:
Dandadan
Finally finished the first season with friends! There's definitely a bigger focus on romance compared to other shonen I've watched, as my friend pointed out. We both agreed that it isn't really our thing. It went from an arc where one character of the couple spent several episodes being jealous to another arc where the OTHER character from the couple was jealous. It didn't detract TOO much from everything but yeah. We'll probably start season 2 next timeonce again watching AFTER the season has finished...
Kimi to Idol Precure
Okay, I've only watched a few episodes that I was interested in... so primarily the ones involving Purirun and Meroron because I LOVE that kind of relationship (iykyk). Overall, I don't think Precure is for me, but I will watch scenes for the yuri. Purirun and Meroron are black-themed/white-themed yuri too, which is even better. That is all.
Games:
The Darkside Detective/The Darkside Detective: A Fumble in the Dark
A throwback to those old point-and-click adventures, these two games are a lot of fun. The humor is charming, there's lots of shout-outs to Twin Peaks and other series, and the puzzles are ones you can actually figure out eventually, unlike the moon logic ones you find in older games. McQueen and Dooley's relationship is so nice, they're BFFsand maybe even boyfriends. But yeah, I had a lot of fun with these games. I saw so many good reviews for them and immediately snatched them up when they went on sale, and it was definitely worth it.
Fantasy Life i: The Girl Who Steals Time
I'm only at the start, despite waiting so long to play it (I got my friend to get me a physical copy from Japan). I never played the old Fantasy Life so I don't really have that to compare to, but the graphics are super cute and it seems like there's tons to do. Hopefully I would have played more by the end of October, because I don't really have much to say about it currently oops.
Baldur's Gate 3
Fifth time's the charm??? Now that I'm doing a playthrough with Noelle, I'm actually enjoying the game. Good lord the number of times Astarion has died during a fight. The number of times MY character has died during a fight. Though battles are actually Fun when you're working together with another person and I love the curveballs the game throws at you. I also love when something shitty or awkward happens to either of our characters and we both get front row seats to it.
